Boat and Bird
A call and response project Alister Karl and Craig Cole Opening Friday 6th January 2012, 6.30pm made. Creative Space 7th to 8th January Some times when Craig looks at Alister he sees a boat, and sometimes when Alister looks at Craig he see's a bird. This strange anomaly has happened for almost the entire time that they have known each other. At times the bird would be big and the boat would be small, the bird so large it blocked the sun, the boat a child’s toy in the bottom of the tub. At other times the bird could fit in the palm of your hand while whole oceans would move when the boat set sail. On really strange days there would be Donkeys and Sharks as well. Taking the theme of the Boat and the Bird, Craig and Alister will call and respond to each other from different parts of the country to create a series of works. |
